There Are Zombies Among Us

A study released on April 1, 2013 by RealtyTrac Found that 35% of all properties in the foreclosure process (not including bank owned properties) were likely vacant. Owners of these "zombie" properties simply walked away from their homes, unaware that they remain liable for maintenance and property taxes because foreclosure has not yet taken place.
