We use jargon like “cramdown,” “lien stripping,” or paying a claim “outside the plan.” We know general concepts like paying interest on secured claims, curing mortgage arrearages, and recovering a car that was repossessed before the petition was filed.  But where in the Code does it say you can do any of these things?

In this fast-paced 60 minute webinar, Chapter 13 Trustee Beverly Burden and Berger Singerman’s Ashley Dillman Bruce look at Code provisions underlying a variety of concepts or phrases that we often take for granted. The webinar is a must for novice bankruptcy attorneys and is an ideal refresher for experienced practitioners.
