Chapter 13 Standing Trustee for the District of Delaware (Wilmington)
William Jaworski, Esquire was appointed the Chapter 13 Trustee for the District of Delaware in 2022. The Delaware Office of the Chapter 13 Trustee administers all aspects of approximately 1800 Chapter 13 cases. Prior to becoming the Chapter 13 Trustee, he handled over 5,000 consumer, business and farm cases in Chapter 7, 13 and 12 from 1993-2022.
William Jaworski has presented on various consumer bankruptcy topics at NACTT National Chapter 13 Conferences, Region 3 Regional meetings and at annual District of Delaware Chapter 13 Consumer Forum.
He is a member of the Local Rules Committee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and has served on various sub-committees involving Local Rules changes for Chapter 13. From 2013-2022, he was the Chair of the Delaware Consumer Bankruptcy Pro Se Foundation which provides funding for programs to assist pro-se debtors in obtaining legal assistance in pursuing their bankruptcy case.
