Data Just In…Total Bankruptcy Filings Down in 2012 – Both Commercial and Individual!

The total noncommercial bankruptcy filings for the first three quarters of 2012 have indicated a 14% drop compared to the same period in 2011. The individual filings have experienced a 22% decline compared, again, to the same period in 2011 (data provided by Epiq Systems, Inc.) For the month of September, the noncommercial filings decreased 20% compared to September of 2011. Commercial filings for September 2012 decreased a colossal 30% from the same period in 2011.
